Happy Anniversary - 3 years married to my Best Friend

I am so grateful for my wonderful husband. I've been told countless times what a wonderful guy he is! We were talking about all the things we have been able to accomplish together in only three years of marriage. Some highlights are both graduating from UCR, the birth of our precious daughter and most recently, David completely his first year of Medical School. We have been truly blessed.

We took a belated Anniversary trip. Our real Anniversary was during David's finals so I had to wait patiently. Our San Diego trip was def worth the wait though! I of course forgot our camera. These pics are either from our phones or copied off the internet.

Our trip started out in Crystal Cove. We went and checked out the Tide Pools and found a beach that is shared with a bunch of seals. It was fun to watch them for a little while, but they sure stank!

Then OF COURSE we had to hit up Mountain Mikes. A Merrill favorite that I immediately adopted!

Then it was off to find out Hotel. It was on Shelter Island, I had never heard of this place until we got a hotel here.

Thanks to Expedia we got this amazing Hotel on a Med School student's budget. We were very pleased.

I called in advanced and mentioned it was our Anniversary trip and they had a complimentary bottle of Champagne sent up our first night there. I'm sure they were shocked when David sent it back for some Sparkling Cider. It was so nice of them to do that.

They also gave us a room overlooking the gorgeous swimming pool. The grounds of the hotel were just fabulous. They even had loose Macaws in the trees.

The Hotel was on the harbor. The Hotel rented out free bikes to use on the Island. This view was of the Harbor and down town San Diego in the distance. This sidewalk was about two miles to the end and back from our hotel. It made for a lovely jog in the morning.

The only two pictures that we actually took.

The next day we were watching the news and they gave a list ranking the top beaches in the nation. Number two was Coronado Island. It wasn't very hard to pick which beach we would go to that day.

We ate lunch at this restaurant (Hotel Del Coronado) on a patio overlooking the beach. It was $15.00 for one Hamburger. Good thing we shared it.

Off to Balboa park. The Science Museum has an IMAX. I love IMAX theaters, we watched Torando Alley. Very interesting. Grateful we don't live in the Heartland.

We also visited Old Town. This was the first place I told David I loved him back. It holds a little sentimental value to the both of us. Or could it be the fresh tortillas that drags us there every time we visit San Diego.

No Anniversary trip would be complete without a Temple Trip.

Seriously had a blast. The hardest thing was leaving behind my baby girl. She was in good hands though. Already looking forward to next year.
