We gave Liliana a Ladybug themed birthday party inspired by one of her favorite books Lady Bug Girl. This was the invite.
So between both Meza and Merrill Families, it is impossible to have a small party so we went all out!
These cupcakes were a gift to Liliana from her auntie Lala with help from Valerie.
Aunt Lacy designed the Pin the Spot on the Lady Bug game.
We had such a fun day with close friends and family.
Lady Bug Pinata that keep falling down. Finally David and I just tied the rope completely around it.
My favorite part of the party was the Birthday Girl and her "Ladybug Girl" outfit!
I know it's a little overkill on pics of Liliana, but she's just sooooo cute I can't help it! I had ordered 1,500 live lady bugs to release them at the end of the party. They never came, bummer. Besides, that we were able to spend a wonderful day with our families and friends before coming back to Arizona.

Lita and Papi Chulo
This is the last of four blog posts I'm writting today.
Liliana also has a blast with her great grandparents whom she lovingly calls Lita and Papi Chulo. They just adore her and as you can see from the pictures she has them wrapped around her little finger.
My grandparents mostly speak Spanish and she uses her limited Spanish vocabulary with them. Some of her favorite things to do over there are.
Walking on the treadmill with Papi Chulo.
Opening the garage and having them push her around in a rolling chair that is stored inside.
Playing with the Christmas clock that sings spanish Christmas Carols.
Also playing with the Mickey Mouse holding the Costa Rican flag that sits on top of the t.v. in their bedroom,
Dragging them around the house and asking for ice cream, cookies or whatever junk food she can get her hands on!
and last but not least....
Picking flowers from Lita's garden. This is her favorite!
Sidenote: I happened to have made this headband and dress for her.

Liliana and Colt
Liliana's best buddy is her cousin Coltie. They are seriously so cute together. I've never seen two toddlers get along better than these two. The first picture I came across while unpacking the other day.
San Diego Safari Park
Also while we were at Lawrence Welk we took the "presentation" and scored free tickets to the Safari Park. Liliana is really into animals so I told her we were going to see lions, zebras and giraffes. When I asked her later where we were going she said "go see cows and kittys".
Lawrence Welk
Ok so maybe it's about time I start updating this blog. Considering the Summer is almost over and I haven't written about anything! We've been back and forth between Riverside and Glendale/Peoria. Our first trip to California included our annual Fernandez family trip to my parent's time share in Escondido.
I got to relax and have people help while I was nauseous ALL DAY! David got to play golf twice with my daddy (aka Golf Buddy). Liliana got to have a blast with her cousins.
We also went to Chuck e Cheese to celebrate Nathan's birthday.
Liliana's favorite part was the 1ft kiddie pool. We were there everyday.
