Max & Kate

Max and Kate are Lili's buddies and are no strangers to this blog.  Recently Max and Kate moved and they were able to come and play while their parents loaded up the truck.  I was able to snap this pic of all three of them watching Barney again.   Oh how time flies!   We love you Max and Kate!

Lili gets her 2nd Professional Hair Cut

It was time for a much needed trim.  She hadn't had a cut since before she was even walking.  The salon ladies must have thought I was crazy, taking so many pictures of just a trim.  I guess I am a crazy, but doesn't she look so cute!?

Dare I Say This...

Liliana is Potty Trained!!!

Our big girl is fully potty trained!  Before two weeks ago this was the hardest thing I have ever tried as a parent.  She has been showing signs of readiness for months.  I tried everything, charts, stickers, toys, songs, and even singing potty's.  Finally, what worked was divine intervention.  I bought one last bag of diapers, numbered them all and told her that was it, there was no more diapers.  I was a little nervous at such a permanent statement, but we all prayed and stuck to it.  When the time it was a breeze!  After one day she was potty trained!  Now (two weeks later) she will go all on her own.  Way to go Liliana!

A sneak preview of our family pictures, taken by the very talented Heather Gunnell.

More to come!

Some Thoughts on Moving

Please indulge my thoughts in this post. I have a dear friend who is very real with her blogging and I have decided to do the same. So here are my thoughts on moving... I DON'T WANT TO! I have learned to love Arizona and my dear friends here and the thought of moving is making me really sad. Let me back up a bit. About two years ago when we moved to Glendale my heart broke to be leaving everyone and everything in California. I mean hello I lived there for almost the first 30 years of my life. The past two years I have become close to other Medical School wives and they have become our Arizona family. It's amazing how much you can grow to love dear friends. My two closest friends have been the wives of David's best buddies at school. All three of us welcomed additions to our families within 6 months of each other. They understand how it feels to carry the burdens of child rearing, while dad is studying 24/7 and taking tests (sometimes 3 times per week). I also was blessed to meet a lady who I consider my AZ mom. She was baptized last year and now we share our religious beliefs in common as well. I am so proud of my husband! We will be married four years in May and I feel so blessed to have been able to accomplish so much in that time. I can not imagine the burden of Medical School, but I am ever so grateful to David for doing what he does. As his second year of Medical School is coming to an end, the reality of Rotations in Modesto, California is setting in. The sad thing is even if we were to stay here it would not be the same. The Gunnell's are moving 1 1/2 hours away and the Eberhard's even further. I understand that change is just part of life, but it still makes me sad. I know that Modesto is just as foreign as Arizona was to me two years ago. I can grow to love Modesto as much as I Glendale now. The count down starts, we have less then three months before Board Exams and the big Move!
